TEACHER: A LIFE CHANGER

As a Field study student and Future educator, I understand and see the real world in teaching. After observing inside and outside the campus I realized a lot. Before I took Education, my view about teaching is that  being a teacher was only about teaching. A profession that does nothing but make lesson plans and impart knowledge to students. But in reality, it’s not. Being a teacher means touching and reaching the lives of the students. As a teacher we must mold our students not only academically but also their emotions, skills, and self-belief. When I experienced teaching off campus when my Critic teacher was absent, I experienced all the situations that happen inside the classroom. Many people don’t like Social Studies, some say it’s boring and some say when their teacher starts teaching this inside the classroom, they all feel sleepy. Before, when I am in Junior High school, I hate social studies, because all I know is that it is all about history, and for me it’s not that important because even if we go back to the past again and again, we will not be able to change it anymore. "Teacher is the easiest course and that Job or Profession won't help us to become rich". "What can we gain from being a teacher?" "Maybe your course is easy, because you are only a teacher". Upon hearing those words and question from other people hurt me a lot. It's sad that when they hear the word Teacher, they only see it as a minor profession. I can't bear to hear anymore disparaging things about being a teacher, that's why I am here to show you that being a teacher is NOT just being a teacher.
